FAQs

What's the minimum age?

The minimum age for the event is 16. However any drivers aged 15+ may enter if they have a valid Teamsport Race Academy membership and have fully completed the advanced stage.


Is there a maximum lap time requirement?

Drivers must record a lap time in the 55-second range (55.0–55.9 seconds). Lap times of 56.0 seconds or higher do not qualify.

This is to ensure all entrants are safe and able to compete without disrupting the flow of the racing.


Can spectators attend?

Yes of course! Spectators can enjoy the event from the designated track viewing areas, as well as relax and refuel at the bar & kitchen


What equipment is provided?

Teamsport race suit, helmet, gloves and disposable balaclava will be provided on the day. However, If you have ISO standard racewear then you are welcome to wear it, but the track staff may check it on the day to confirm it meets requirements.


What footwear should I wear?

Trainers are ideal shoes for karting. Shoes must cover the whole foot, no open toes / sandals / crocs. No heels or wedges.


Is cash accepted at the venue?

Teamsport Warrington is a cashless venue. However, for the raffle and other fundraising games we will be accepting card and cash.


I have a medical condition or disability, can I race?

Go karting is not recommended for drivers with heart problems, epilepsy or other conditions which may be affected by exertion. Any conditions that would prevent you from acquiring a driving licence would likely prevent you from being able to race.


Are there any height restrictions?

Drivers racing in the adult karts must have an inside leg measurement (measured from the crotch to the base of the heel, whilst wearing shoes) of 29 inches or more.


Is there a maximum height/weight limit for the karts?

There isn't a specific limit on the karts but Teamsport recommends a maximum height of 6’4” and a maximum weight of 18 stone. If in doubt, pop down to the Teamsport Warrington and they can provide a kart test.


Can I use my own GoPro/ Helmet Cam?

If you are using your own helmet, you can use your own Go-Pro / helmet cam as long as they are securely mounted. When using Teamsport's helmets, you can only use their headcams which can be rented on the day. Teamsport do not allow chest-mounts or cameras mounted directly to the karts.


Do you sell food?

Yes, Teamsport Warrington have on site catering for hot and cold food with a small café area (with fully licenced bar). Check out the food and beverage listings via TeamSport's website.


Do you sell alcohol?

The fuel bars have a full range of both soft and alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks are only allowed to be consumed after you have finished karting and if you are lucky to look under 25 you may be asked to provide proof of age. You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol onto the premises.


Can I bring my own food to the event?

Unfortunately, outside food is not allowed at the event. Exceptions can be made for individuals with restricted diets / allergies / etc.


Do you have vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free / halal foods at your cafes?

While we can accommodate some dietary restrictions, please contact a member of our event team to check availability and in case the items need to be special ordered.


Is my ticket refundable?

Tickets for the Warrington Sprint Cup are non-refundable, as all profits go directly to Mind. By taking part, you’re not only enjoying a night of competitive racing but also supporting a great cause.


What time do I need to arrive at the event?

Doors will open at 4pm. You will be expected to arrive 40 minutes before the event starts. This will ensure a prompt start at 5pm.


Do I need to sit a safety briefing?

Yes, regardless of membership status every participant will have to sit the safety briefing. This ensures all drivers are refreshed on the rules and regulations to provide a clean and enjoyable event.


What happens if I am late?

While we will make every effort to accommodate participants, the event schedule cannot be delayed for late arrivals. Participants who arrive late may forfeit their opportunity to race. To avoid this, please plan to arrive at least 40 minutes prior to the scheduled start time


How long is the event?

The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM and conclude between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Please note that, due to the nature of the event, on-track incidents or unforeseen circumstances may result in delays.


How many drivers will be taking part?
